A few weeks ago we were tasked with organising a surprise party for a lovely client of ours based on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
We love the Northern Beaches of Sydney and love to cater at the many surf clubs, function centres and venues which are based along the coast. This event was being held at the Mona Vale Surf Lifesaving Club where we have catered numerous times before. We love this venue mainly because of the view. Situated right on the beach, the club has a great outdoor deck area where people can sit and enjoy the view. It also has an indoor area, perfect for inclement weather or just on cold nights. We have a range of hire suppliers who can help with this however providing everything from gas heaters to festoon lighting which can help set the mood and transform this space.
Anyway, so a paella party, (our speciality) or more specifically, a paella surprise party!!!
Then things took a wild turn! As it turns out, unfortunately the birthday girl got a look at the text message which was sent to all of her friends and so found out about the party. All was not lost however as her amazing husband went ahead with the party anyway and actually got her involved in the planning!!! The night was amazing and went off without a hitch!
Tim and Joel cooked a 1 meter seafood paella which feeds up to 70 people. This paella is extremely popular on the Northern Beaches of Sydney containing fresh Australian seafood in abundance. We also use Calasparra rice, Spanish saffron and hand made stocks which we cook at our production kitchen in Artarmon.
This evening, our client had someone who was anaphylactic to seafood, so we accommodated with a small chicken and chorizo paella and ensured there was no cross contamination. Remember we are able to provide smaller portions of our vegetarian/vegan paella to ensure everyone is able to be fed. This is also good for any last minute dietary requirements or allergies which may be present. All our paellas cater for gluten free, dairy free, egg free and nut free guests. Our vegetarian paella is also vegan so can cater for vegan guests easily.
