The week in review

Updated: Apr 12, 2021

Although it is late, we had a massive weekend on the weekend of Saturday the 25th of August with 4 paella parties all over Sydney and another charity job from our little sister Boardwalk Catering. Boardwalk Catering provides a range of different foods from canapés, buffets and formal dining. We completed a charity job which was donated by Boardwalk Catering for the Children's Cancer Institute. We feel that this is a worthwhile cause to be involved with and have again donated this prize for next year. BUT back to paella!

Paella amor catered 4 paella events all over Sydney during the day and in the evening on Saturday.

Our first was on the Northern suburbs of Sydney in Narraweena where we cooked a 70cm mixed paella. This client also had tapas including our garlic and chilli prawn skewers and our awesome chorizo with reduced apple cider glaze. Such a great way to start off a paella party lunch. This client also had a number of vegetarian guests. Over our many years in the paella catering business in Sydney we have perfected this offering for smaller numbers of vegetarian guests. We are able to cook up to 5 individual portions of vegetarian paella completely separately to the main pan whilst it is cooking.

Lets just break this down for a moment. This means that we use quality chicken or fish stock to cook the type of paella which has been selected. We don't half cook the rice in the pan and then remove the vegetarian portion just before we add the meat or seafood. We cook a completely separate paella, right in front of your guests, with vegetarian stock and fresh vegetables. This translates into better tasting paella for you and no compromise on flavour. Our vegetarian paella is completely vegetarian and is even vegan, gluten free, dairy free, egg free and nut free.

Our second paella party was on the Northern Beaches of Sydney in North Balgowlah. This was on at the same time as the Narraweena job with chef Mark cooking up another awesome mixed paella for 25 people. This was a pretty straightforward and enjoyable job with everyone loving the paella. Awesome feedback as always from chef Mark with our client sending us this great note, "Fantastic food for the party yesterday and Mark was great."

Our third paella event was during the evening with chef Mark doing the double. He cooked up a storm at Frenchs Forrest again in Sydney's Northern Suburbs. This party had two paellas, a chicken & chorizo and a seafood. Each pan served 40 guests which totalled 80 people at this awesome paella event. We have catered a number of times in Frenchs Forrest and love the suburb. Again everyone left full and happy with a number of people saying how amazing the paella tasted.

Our fourth event was down at Sans Souci in the south of Sydney. This paella party was for 70 people with a chicken and chorizo paella and was cooked by chef Jorno for a 25th birthday. Paella is awesome for birthdays as it is tasty, filling and reasonably priced. This event was really down for celebration and also went with our mini chocolate dipped gelato cones to help keep the party going for dessert. Thats correct, we also do a range of different desserts, salads and tapas for events.

Once again, another massive week of paella catering in Sydney by Paella amor. We are pushing forward as one of the best paella catering companies in Sydney providing affordable paella catering, quality food and complete events in Sydney. If you have and event coming up and would like to talk about paella, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our summer dates are already filling very fast, but we still have some weekends available so get in quick Sydney.
